I strive to support individuals through life’s challenges with a compassionate and collaborative approach.

At the heart of my practice is a person-centered therapeutic approach, rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity to reach their full potential when provided with the right opportunities and environment.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, valued and empowered. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients manage anxiety, maladaptive thinking, depressive symptoms, emotional dysregulation and coping difficulties.

For younger clients, I incorporate play and art therapy to provide a safe and engaging space for emotional expression.

My practice is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and inclusive, recognizing the profound impact of cultural identity on mental health. I aim to support individuals through the complexities of transition, the challenges of adapting to new environments and the emotional effects of change.

By tailoring my therapeutic approach to honor each person’s unique background, I foster a supportive space for self exploration and personal growth in a multicultural environment. No matter what obstacles you are facing, relationship struggles, self-esteem concerns, anxiety or life transitions, I am here to help you navigate them with care and compassion. As a therapist, I am committed to helping clients and couples overcome their trauma, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety and addiction. As a woman of Middle Eastern descent and a first-generation immigrant, I recognize the profound impact of cultural diversity on individual experiences, particularly in the areas of attachment, trauma, and emotional well-being.

I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process trauma, difficult emotions, and past experiences. In addition to EMDR, I integrate a range of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), all of which are designed to support healing and personal growth.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship issues, addiction, or simply seeking greater self-awareness, my client-centered approach ensures that your unique strengths, cultural background, and experiences are honoured throughout our work together. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can gain insight, build resilience, and foster meaningful change.

Let’s embark on this transformative journey together, honouring your story and working towards healing, growth, and a deeper sense of well-being.

Arushi is a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and in good standing with the Ontario Association for Mental Health Professionals. Prior to this, she worked as a licensed clinical psychologist in India, and completed her M.Sc and M.Phil in clinical psychology.

She strongly believes that we all carry the power and wisdom to heal ourselves, but sometimes need support and guidance to facilitate this process and navigate the obstacles limiting us from the life we wish to lead. Over her six years of experience and growth as a psychotherapist, she has developed a trauma informed, collaborative, and resiliency based approach with clients. Her aim is to provide an empathetic, warm and non-judgemental space where you feel it is safe to explore and process your emotions and thoughts, understand yourself, and learn skills to help you cope with whatever life throws your way. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy, and strives to make you feel seen, heard, and valued.

Arushi works with clients dealing with:

Symptoms of anxiety- such as heart racing, palpitations, negative thinking, procrastination, dissociation, derealization, intrusive thoughts and images, panic, and feelings of dread, impending doom, and overwhelm.

Symptoms of depression- such as low mood, loss of pleasure in previously enjoyable things, rumination, disturbed sleep, and feelings of guilt, shame, pessimism, hopelessness, helplessness or worthlessness.

Survivors of physical, verbal, emotional, sexual or narcissistic abuse. This could also show up in the form of feeling taken advantage of (exploitation), feeling controlled or manipulated, doubting your own feelings and reality (gaslighting). Other symptoms may include symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, flashbacks, nightmares, difficulty trusting others, and a pervasive sense of unsafety. Issues of daily living, such as life transitions, overwhelm, interpersonal or relationship issues, discrimination, workplace stress, self-esteem and self-worth issues, and cultural identity.

Post traumatic stress and its corresponding symptoms after a motor vehicle accident or MVA, such as flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance, intrusive thoughts and images, zoning out or losing time, missing time, or dissociation.

Workplace trauma, such as racism, discrimination, workplace injuries, harassment, bullying

Intergenerational trauma
